What is Telehealth?Telehealth is the delivery of health care through communication technology. Mobile devices, smartphone apps and internet-enabled computers all have audio and visual capabilities that make online counseling possible. Not only is telehealth convenient and affordable, over two decades of research conclude that on-line therapy is just as effective as traditional in-person therapy for adults.
How many sessions do I need?
In order to create lasting change, consistency is key. It is best to book weekly or biweekly appointments. Some clients benefit from 3-5 sessions, while others may want more intensive treatment.
What Clarion Psychotherapy Is and what it is NOT
Clarion is a boutique-style, appointments only, online practice that specializes in working with adults experiencing mild to moderate mental health symptoms. Clarion is NOT a crisis center, emergency hotline or 24-hour mental health service. If you are in an emergency, please call 911.
Why don’t you take insurance?
I made the choice not to accept insurance. As an out-of-network provider, I can focus solely on your treatment without managed care restrictions regarding your care. Insurance companies require the therapist to provide a diagnosis which can be stigmatizing. Also, working with insurance agencies can be very time-consuming. The long calls and paperwork detract from therapy and limit the results clients can create for themselves. My goal is to spend my time focused on YOU!
